Talk to someone who has a car that’s special to them and one of the first things they say is, “oh, that’s my baby,” said Dave Barnett. That’s where he produced the name for his new business, My Baby Detailing, which opened March 1 at 4981 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood.
“For those who just refer to it as just transportation, after we get it all shined up, they catch the fever and refer to it as ‘my baby’ as well.” he said.
Barnett, who also owns Christian Brothers Automotive next door to the new business, said they saw a real demand for detail services in the Center Grove area, cleaning cars inside and out. My Baby Detailing offers a wide variety of services, from cleaning car interiors, exteriors and engine bays for cars, trucks and motorcycles.
“We do daily drivers, minivans, sedans, pickup trucks but we also specialize in hot rods, muscle cars, sports cars in the automotive enthusiasts’ community as well,” Barnett said. “Everybody that works here is a car enthusiast ourselves. We love cars. It’s not just a job to us. The technicians that do the detail work, it’s
not just a paycheck to them. They love these cars as much as the owners do. So that’s one of the phrases we use: ‘your baby is my baby at Our Baby Detailing.’ We put heart and soul into taking care of cars and making them look as good as they can.”
In addition to cleaning, the business offers paint-less dent repair, scuff removal, paint correction, ceramic coating, window tinting and more. They also have a courtesy shuffle, taking customers where they need to be while their car is worked on, and picking them back up when the work is complete.
