Franklin College to present fall student art exhibit • The Franklin College Art Department will present the first of four student art exhibits. Exhibits will be showcased in the Elba L. & Gene Portteus Branigan Atrium on the first floor of the Johnson Center for Fine Arts. An opening reception will be held Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. Students from all levels of studio art classes will display a selection of their work completed during the fall semester. Authors at JCPL: Jan Brett • the Authors at JCPL series continues with a visit from bestselling children’s author and illustrator, Jan Brett, at The Historic Artcraft Theatre. Jan Brett is the No. 1 bestselling author/illustrator, one of America’s most popular, with over 40 million books in print, and has brought to life lovable characters and imaginary backdrops for children for more than 30 years. Holiday Instrumental Concert • The Franklin College instrumental students will kick off the winter season with a Holiday Instrumental Concert.
